Brick 1-24 is the result of many years of research into the toy industry and what the perfect toy would look like if one was designed for teenagers and adults.

The first question to ask is play with toys only a children’s pastime or is it a form of entertainment for all ages?

Play is a natural pastime for humans of all ages and play with toys is no different. The only problem is that no one is designing products for an older audience. For this reason, there is a big drop off in the use of toys as a form of entertainment by adults.

What is the function of a toy?

A toy is a prop within a story. If the toy is believable the story within the mind of the player becomes believable.

Children’s toys can be quite abstract yet still believable for this age group. But as we grow older realism, detail and scale become increasingly important. If you can add construction, design and articulation into the toy design, then you end up with the perfect toy for teenagers and adults.

The Figure

Brick 1-24 is figure and construction brick based. We will launch with a figure range and accessories.

The figure range has been designed to work within a traditional construction brick universe. This allows customers to keep using the bricks they already own but now they can build models to accommodate a far more realistic figure.

A before and after example below shows a scene built using traditional construction bricks and min-figures. The same scene is used again, but now using Brick 1-24 figures and a few accessories.

The level of realism and detail has been raised considerably making for a far more believable scene.

This is a major step forward for an older audience. Particular attention has been paid to articulation and realism allowing builders to create dioramas or scenes that have amazing levels of action, personality and storytelling.

The Brick

The Brick 1-24 figure can be a standalone toy line but we see this as only the beginning.

The construction brick has proved to be increasingly popular with the adult community. This is because construction bricks offer users creative, design and engineering challenges. This makes it a pastime for all ages. Ironically it is a toy that adults tend to get much better building results from than children do.

Our research and development has resulted in a new construction brick design that offers a least 4 times the level of detail available from traditional construction bricks within the same space. The types of models buildable with these bricks are more on par with plastic model kits. This is a part of Brick 1-24 that is still being refined but the results achieved so far are outstanding.

At present this website should be viewed as a virtual showroom. It is showing only the tip of the iceberg of what we are proposing. These items are still to be manufactured.
